Can Even Withstand a Snowstorm
Crocus Striped Bird will be a delightful addition to your early spring garden. Resembling the feathers of a bird in flight, the lavender petals of these Giant Crocuses are delicately striped with creamy white. Plant them in clusters beneath your favorite tree, at the edge of the woods, on a slope, or display them in pots on your porch to enchant your guests. Their sweet nectar will also invite bees and butterflies to your garden. They're incredibly hardy and may bloom even during a snowstorm, earning them the nickname Snow Crocus.

Crocus General Information

Crocus can be successfully grown in a lawn for a spring meadow effect. For best effect, plant in drifts of 20 or more corms (bulbs). Crocus naturalize well.

Crocus Plant Care

Plant in fall in well-drained, sandy soil in full sun to partial shade. Plant bulbs 3" deep and 3" apart. Hold off on mowing the lawn in spring until the crocus foliage begins to die back. Interested in forcing bulbs? Visit our Useful Links page.
